Remote Monitoring Systems

Leave nothing to chance

More security for your infrastructure with reliable monitoring solutions

GUDE’s remote monitoring systems consist of rack monitoring systems, remote IO modules and LAN sensors. With their diverse performance features, they offer the best prerequisites for professional monitoring and control of IT racks and other AV/IT installations. The robust devices are characterised by a compact design and low power consumption.

The smart solutions can be used to query sensors, inputs and switching contacts, read energy consumption counters and trigger switching operations via integrated floating relays.

Two types of remote monitoring systems

1. IP-relays & Remote I/O

IP relays, also known as smart relay controllers on DIN rails, combine remote monitoring and control (Remote I/O) in a compact solution. Equipped with switchable relay outputs for individual phases, signal inputs, and sensor ports, they enable the monitoring and switching of geographically remote objects using signal conversion methods. By supporting proven communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, and SNMP, physical risks can be detected early on, before costly failures occur. With their wide range of functions, these remote control systems provide the ideal conditions for reliably securing, optimizing, and expanding existing electrical infrastructures.

2. LAN sensors

These are web-based monitoring systems with integrated sensor functionality. They can be used to monitor parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure or the detection of water leakage or smoke development. In remote and unattended rooms and IT racks, critical conditions can be detected at an early stage and prevented by alarm and notification mechanisms, e.g. via e-mail or SNMP trap.

Rack Monitoring: Early Detection of Critical Conditions

In IT racks, servers, storage systems, and network components work together in a very confined space. To ensure reliable operation of the infrastructure, relevant operational and environmental conditions must be continuously monitored.

GUDE’s remote I/O and monitoring functions enable, among other things:

  • Early detection of critical conditions (e.g., via automatic alerts).
  • Measurement of temperature, humidity, and air pressure using optional, plug-and-play sensors.
  • Centralized monitoring via the network as well as easy integration into existing IT infrastructures.

This approach allows for more than just securing traditional server racks. AV systems, media cabinets, conference rooms, and studios are also intelligently integrated into the remote monitoring system.

Combining IP Relays, Sensors, and Telecontrol Technology

The combination of relay outputs, digital signal inputs, and sensor ports enables highly flexible monitoring and control tasks. While the connected components provide important status and measurement data, the relay outputs control the electrical systems.

This makes GUDE IP relays suitable for both simple remote switching tasks and extensive remote I/O, rack monitoring, and telecontrol applications. You get a central, secure interface to efficiently control your entire infrastructure remotely.
