The Expert Transfer Switch 8801-3 is an Automaic Transfer Switch (ATS) for switching to an alternative power supply when needed. The short switching time to an alternative power supply protect the connected loads from down time – especially in case of phase shifts. An automatic switch-back to the restored power supply is also possible.

The Expert Transfer Switch 8801-3 has 2 IEC C20 connectors for power supply, 10 IEC C13 output ports (10 A) and 1 IEC C19 output port (16 A). 4 of the IEC C13 outlets are protected by an integrated thermal fuse in case of overvoltages. Manual switching via the button, SNMP, Telnet or web interface allows maintenance work on one supply line.

Furthermore, the device has energy and residual current metering and offers a quick overview of the switching status and the measured values of the device through easy-to-read LED displays. Thanks to the two sensor connections, ambient temperature, humidity and air pressure can be monitored with optionally available sensors. The Expert Transfer Switch 8801-3 allows the generation of messages via e-mail, syslog and SNMP traps depending on set thresholds of energy, temperature, humidity or air pressure measurement.
