GUDE and UK AV specialist RGB Communications agree distribution partnership

RGB Communications today becomes the exclusive UK distributor for GUDE Systems, a manufacturer of high-quality, reliable and cost-effective power distribution units (PDUs) and monitoring solutions. RGB is a leading value-added distributor founded in 1991 and based in Hungerford, Berkshire. The company supplies selected premium product brands to discerning AV customers, including many installers and integrators throughout the UK and Ireland.

The GUDE product range consists of PDUs with switchable sockets, remote monitoring systems and radio time receivers for AV and commercial environments. Once in operation, users can benefit from the following advantages:

1. Resilience
Power cycling (rebooting) of connected devices helps applications get back on their feet when they hang up: Either automatically via watchdog monitoring or remotely via the integrated web application and mobile app. In addition, power and differential current monitoring prevents critical system conditions in the plant.

2. Operational safety
Short-circuit fuses per output (eFuse) prevent damage to other loads. Furthermore, an integrated type 3 overvoltage protection provides more operational safety.

3. Energy saving
The integrated energy meters provide precise measurement of power consumption and enable energy and cost saving potentials to be exploited.

4. Space saving
The IP power distributors take up only 1 height unit in the rack and enable direct connection of many IT and AV devices.

5. Monitoring
Monitoring of temperature, humidity and air pressure in the installation environment by additional cable sensors.  This means that critical conditions can be avoided in advance by taking preventive measures.
