Under Windows you can import a new firmware with the help of the tool GBL_Conf.exe. Under Linux you use gblc for this. A firmware update is only possible if the device is started in the so-called BootLoader mode.
To enter the BootLoader mode, press and hold the “BL” button of the device when plugging in the power supply or switching on the device until the yellow “V.24” LED flashes every second.
Once in BootLoader mode, start the correct program (GBL_Conf.exe or gblc). Search for the device by clicking on “Search”. Select the device with the left mouse button, open the context menu with the right mouse button and select Firmware Update. Select the new firmware in the following file dialog and follow the progress bar in the GBL_Conf.exe at the bottom right.
If the firmware update was successful, the message: Firmware Update completed successfully appears in the right text window. In detail you can read this again in our Wiki.
Our GUDE Wiki explains these simple steps.
